Linda K. (Watson) Robertson

September 29, 1942 ~ October 21, 2018 (age 76)

Linda K. Robertson

Age 76 of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born September 29, 1942 in Pekin, Illinois, Linda Kay was a daughter of Wesley and Gladys (Hedrick) Watson. She was educated in the Braidwood Schools and went on to attend the Amy Ellen Beauty School. On April 16, 1960, Linda married Neil Robertson in Lacon, Illinois, and together they made their home and raised their family in Wilmington. Linda worked as a beautician and cosmetologist her entire life, beginning at the Cameo Beauty Salon in Braidwood, and throughout the years moved to The Pink Turtle and Family Beauty and Styling in Wilmington, as well as worked out of her home. In 1984, Linda opened Impressions Hair Salon in Wilmington, which she was continuing to currently manage. She was proud to grow the hair and tanning salon into a Paul Mitchell Signature Salon, all while working aside her family. Linda was also a licensed travel agent and owned World Travel Consultants, which also continues to be a family owned and operated business in Wilmington.

Linda was an endowment member of the National Rifle Association and attended Assembly of God Church in Joliet. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed Disney, as well as cruising. Linda and Neil also always looked forward to attending the Covered Bridge Festival.

A woman of strong Christian and conservative fundamentals, Linda was proud to have been a Born Again Christian and was an advocate and supporter of our 45th President Donald J. Trump. She was an exceptionally generous person who loved life, and supported not only the pro-life cause, but demonstrated her convictions through her own final gift of organ and tissue donation.

With unending devotion to her family, Linda made a significant impact in the lives of her loved ones. She also understood the value of hard work and leaves behind a legacy of a successful business woman. Linda took her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother to heart and later in life she was blessed to become a great-grandmother as well. Deeply loved, Linda will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Neil; three children: Rory Robertson, Rhonda Schaefer and Audra (Brian) Bushue, all of Wilmington; six grandchildren: Aaren (Eric) Dillon and Ellen (Kyle) Davis, both of Wilmington, Emily (Zach) Allevi of Glen Ellyn, and Ryan Bushue, Isaac Schaefer and Eli Schaefer, all of Wilmington; four great grandchildren: Graham Dillon, Kate Dillon, Emma Davis and Bryce Davis; one sister, Virginia Faye Flint and one brother, John A.
