William Wesley Mansfield, Jr.
Age 62 of Wilmington and formerly of Tower Hill, Illinois, passed away Wednesday morning, May 1, 2019 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born December 16, 1956 in Joliet, Illinois, William Wesley was the son of William Wesley, Sr. and Eva Gertrude (Eaton) Mansfield. He was raised in Wilmington and attended the Wilmington Schools. Bill worked for Brownie Products in Gardner and will be remembered for his love of fishing.
Survivors include one sister, Natallee Anderson of Braidwood and one brother, Clarence “Gene” Mansfield of Bradley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and four sisters: Norma Rogene Countryman, Nancy Brown, Audrey Neeley and Jessie Bailey.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Graveside inurnment services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, where Bill will be laid to rest with his parents.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bill’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
