William O. Wolff

Age 69 of Wilmington, passed away Saturday evening, August 25, 2018 at Gilman Healthcare Center in Gilman, Illinois.

Born January 8, 1949 in DeKalb, Illinois, William Otto was a son of Ivan Otto and Lois Lucille (Joslin) Wolff. He was raised and educated in Wilmington, and went on to honorably serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Bill worked as an Operating Engineer with Local #150 until his retirement; was a member of the Wilmington VFW, and belonged to the A.F. and A.M. Wilmington Lodge #208.

In his free time, Bill enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to country music, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his two children: Sherry (Mike) Bergman and Billy (Chrissy) Wolff, both of Wilmington; six grandchildren: Ashley Bergman, Megan Bergman, Jared Robertson, Zach Bergman, Nolan Burgos and Carley Wolff; one great grandson, Matthew Aspel and two sisters: Sandra (Don) Jenkins and Bonnie (Dean) Hodges, both of DeKalb.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew John Stainbrook.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington.

Funeral services will follow on Thursday morning, August 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
