Age 73 of Sturgis Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on July 05, 2006.

Born August 06, 1932 in Morris, Andrew was a son of the late: Andrew and Pearl (Odgen) Jiskra. Andrew was a veteran having served our Country in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955. Andrew worked for Federal Paperboard in Morris for 24 years before moving to Michigan, where he gained employment with Simplex Industries (Ludlow) in Constantine, Michigan for another 20 years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kathryn (Sterritt); two daughters: Cindi (Randy) Reisner of Channahon and Sarah (Adam) Salyer of Sturgis, Michigan; four sons: Andy (Sue) Jiskra of Centennial, Colorado, Ed Jiskra and Tom (Melody) Jiskra, both of Sturgis, Michigan and Todd Jiskra of Portage, Wisconsin. Eight grandchildren: Kevin (Jennifer) Reisner of Chicago, Bryan Reisner and Mike Reisner, both of Channahon, Christine Jiskra, Andrea Jiskra and Stephanie Jiskra, all of Centennial, Colorado and Hannah Jiskra and Cole Salyer, both of Sturgis, Michigan. One great grandson Jonathan Reisner and one brother Thomas (Sharon) Jiskra of Conway, Arkansas, as well as many friends.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Ronald Jiskra.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd., 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City.

Funeral services will follow on Thursday July 13th at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery and pallbearers will be: Kevin Reisner, Bryan Reisner, Mike Reisner, Adam Salyer, Randall Reisner and Mark Jiskra.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Andrew's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Coal City.
