Anne Gaida

Anne M. Gaida (nee Ondesko)

Age 92 formerly of Chicago, passed away Thursday July 13, 2006 at Salem Village in Joliet.

Born March 01, 1914 in Central City, Illinois Anne was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Baren) Ondesko. She was employed by Jewel Foods, Corp. in Chicago for many years prior to her retirement. Anne loved her family, puzzle solving, reading, game shows and western movies.

Survivors include her loving daughters: Diane (Steve) Samuel of Wilmington and Joanne (Jack) Wesley of Florida. Two grandsons: Joseph (Kathy) Samuel and Ronald (Karyn) Wesley; Three granddaughters: Kathryn (John) Reilly, Laura Samuel and Susan Mayhorn. Three great grandchildren: Emily and Sean Reilly and Jackson Wesley and one sister Irma Valenti of Chicago.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph and three sisters: Mary Lewandowski, Agnes Dunda and Pauline Tammore.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 17, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Funeral services will follow on Tuesday July 18th at 10:00AM in Saint Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi officiating.

Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Our Lady of Sorrows Section in Hillside.
