Asher Benjamin Bierly
Age 12 of Elwood, Illinois, died unexpectedly on December 3, 2021.
Born May 4, 2009 in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Asher is a son of Benjamin and Rachel (Nichols) Bierly. He was the fourth born of five siblings, and was fondly also known in the household as “Speed” or “Squeeks”.
A student at Families of Faith Christian Academy in Channahon, Asher was an extremely intelligent boy who enjoyed soccer, wrestling with his big brother and playing flag football. He was extremely artistic, and loved Pokémon. When he was not playing video games, Asher could be found playing in the yard and creek, helping with the animals and learning new strategy games. Gone too soon, Asher leaves behind a priceless collection of memories that his family, friends and loved ones will continue to cherish and hold in their hearts.
Survivors include his parents, Ben and Rachel Bierly; siblings: Daniel, Joshua, Noah and Hannah; grandfather, Robert Nichols of Georgia and grandmother, Joyce Busbee of Joliet, and uncles: David (Rebecca) Nichols of Georgia and Karl (Cathy) Bierly of Ohio, as well as numerous cousins.
Asher was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Erica Nichols.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Families of Faith Church, 24466 West Eames Street, in Channahon on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Randy Blan will officiate. A private family burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Preferred memorials may be made to Families of Faith Christian Academy for a Memorial Scholarship in Asher’s memory.
