Age 86 of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away Thursday morning, July 2, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born September 2, 1934 in Abingdon, Illinois, Barbara Jean was a daughter of James and Dorothy (Nicholas) Strickland.

Survivors include her sons, Marty Williams and Randy Williams, both of Wilmington; her ex-daughters-in-law, Pamela Chambers of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and Jennifer Risinger of Wilmington; grandchildren: Kyle, Haylee and Gavin Williams all of Wilmington, and Cassie Earley of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; great grandchildren: Danika, Delaynee, Delilah Earley of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; nephew, Ronald Jones of Wilmington and niece, Brenda (Don) Riley of Morris, Illinois.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy; husband, Sanford “Bud” Williams; granddaughter, Kayla Williams;  her sister, Josephine Jones; brother-in-law, Bob Jones; brother, Eugene Strickland; niece, Donna Jones, and aunt, Elsie Shiplett.

Cremation rites are being accorded, and a graveside memorial is in the planning.

Barb will be laid to rest with her husband, Bud in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
