Age 91 of Gardner, formerly of Elgin, Tennessee passed away July 6, 2020 at her home.

Born April 24, 1929, in Montgomery, Alabama, Beatrice Macie was one of thirteen children, to the late David and Lucy Lee (nee Lavender) Hall. She was raised in Elgin, Tennessee. Bea was a past member of First Baptist Church of Coal City and was an avid bowler at Victory Lanes in Dwight. Bea enjoyed gardening and was very proud of her flowers. She truly loved going to The Boat in Joliet and traveling with her spouse of 24 years, James Turk. Bea will be remembered for being full of sass, spunk, and her great sense of humor. Family was the center of her life and she loved and cherished them all dearly.

Survivors include spouse, James Turk; children: Patricia (the late John) Liccardi of Crest Hill, Windel (Jeannie nee Harrop) Foster of South Wilmington, Jack (Mary Ellen) Foster of Tellico Village in Laudin, TN, Michael (Brenda nee Baker) Foster of Knoxville, TN, David (Karen nee Dettmann) Foster of Jefferson City, TN, and JoAnn Foster (Karen Jacobson) of Morris; (11) grandchildren: Mark (Deby) Phipps of Shreveport, LA, Dawn (the late Larry) Farmer of Coal City, Bridgette Foster of South Wilmington, Travis (Celisa) Foster of Cleveland, NC, Donald Heck of Atlanta, GA, Michael (Kathy) Foster of Knoxville, TN, Shilynn (Ray) DelAngel of Wilmington, Blair (Jeff) Horath of Morris, Doug Foster of Morris, Jennifer (Steve) Hoffman of Pryor, MT, and Daniel (Natessa) Countryman of Gardner; (33) great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Dixie (the late Don) Brooks of Englewood, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; lifelong friends: Carol and Billy Farris of Paducah, KY and her four-legged companion, Little Bear.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer Foster, and 11 siblings.

The family extends special gratitude to great-granddaughter, Hope Farmer, for her devoted care to her great-grandma.

A private family interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park I, where Bea will be laid to rest with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bea’s memory to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
