BERNARD R. KENNEY

Age 82 of Morris, passed away Friday July 29, 2005 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born June 21, 1923 in Morris, Bernard was a son of the late Patrick and Mary (Eschenbaum) Kenney. He was raised and educated in Morris and was a lifelong employee of the Morris Paper Mill until his retirement. Bernard was and avid bingo player, enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters: Sharon (Jim) Narwick and Linda Olson, both of Morris and Kathy (Ernest) Jones of Crest Hill. Two step-daughters: Arlene (Gregg) Chasteen and Denise (Doug) Stoltz, both of Charleston, IL. (7) Grandchildren: Robert (Julie) Olson of Charleston, Theresa (Dan) Ragan of Braceville, Richard (Jennifer) Olson of Morris, Jodie (Keenan) Ledbetter of Joliet, Nick (Shelly) Lewis of Morris, John (Patty) Ledbetter of Lockport and Jill (Brad) Pedersen of Joliet. (18) Great Grandchildren and one brother John (Jean) Kenney of Morris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, one son Richard A. Kenney (1968) and six brothers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 02, 2005 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (1 Block East of IL Route 47) in Morris. Rev. Richard Smith from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris will officiate and burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris. Pallbearers will be: Robert Olson, Richard Olson, Nick Lewis, John Ledbetter, Donnie Olson and Dustin Ortiz.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bernard's memory to: Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
