Age 67 of Coal City, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, Illinois and Godley, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 23, 2025 at his home.
Born October 8, 1957 in Chicago, Bernard Martin was a son of Joseph and Milda (Hoffmann) Kudirka. He was raised and educated in Chicago, graduated from Luther South High School with the Class of 1977, and completed a Bachelor's Degree at DeVry University. Bernard worked for Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, Illinois for 15 years and later PLZ Corp, formerly Chicago Aerosol, for 9 years. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan, and also greatly enjoyed computer gaming. Bernard had many eclectic hobbies over the years, and was always tinkering around with some project. He loved going on little trips up to Wisconsin and Michigan but was happiest when he was with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include three children: Alex Kudirka of Murray, Kentucky, Chris Kudirka of Coal City, and Sam (Jason DelSasso) Kudirka of Reddick, Illinois; five grandchildren: Corbin and Bryce Kudirka, and Daniel, Lucas, and Dominic DelSasso; one brother, Ronnie (Rhonda) Kudirka of Orland Park, Illinois, and his former wife and mother of his children, Barbara Kudirka of Dwight, Illinois.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Milda Kudirka.
Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and their will be no services at this time.
