Age 72 of New Lenox, Illinois, died Monday, October 14, 2024 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.
Born October 12, 1952 in Kansas, Robert DeWayne was a son of Eugene and Ermajean (Wheeler) Nuesse. He was raised in California where he graduated from High School, and eventually moved to Illinois settling in New Lenox. Bob's career was spent in telecommunications, beginning his career with General Telephone & Electronics and Sprint, before gaining employment with the Andrew Corporation in Orland Park, Illinois, where he would work for 15 years. He started off with infrastructure and setting up service lines and towers, eventually moving into project management. Bob enjoyed woodworking and bowling in his regular bowling league at Centennial Lanes in Orland Park, and when he retired took great pleasure in going for rides on his Harley Davidson. His quick wit and clever sense of humor will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.
Survivors include three children: JeanMarie (David Ruder) Nuesse of Wilmington, Illinois, Micah (Kylene) Nuesse of Bourbonnais, Illinois, and Breanna (Jake) Martin of Raytown, Missouri; twelve grandchildren: J.D. (Makayla) Hale, Jessica (Danny) Anderson, Jacen Hale, Kaleb Nuesse (fiancé: Anna Anders), Camryn (Matthew) Grossman, Avrey Nuesse, Olivia Nuesse, Liam Nuesse, Bridgette Boyd, Bailey Boyd, Braelyn Boyd, and Jameson Martin; one great grandson, Walker Dean Hale, three brothers: Dennis (Cathy) Nuesse of Ohio, Tom (Susan) Nuesse of Idaho, and Gene Nuesse of Montana; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Chester Nuesse.
Per Bob's wishes, cremation rites are being accorded.
