Age 29 of Fairbury, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born May 11, 1995 in Joliet, Illinois, Brandon Richard is a son of Wendy (Konc) Page and Patrick McCaughn. He was raised in Gardner, Illinois and graduated from Taylorville High School with the Class of 2013. Brandon worked as a painter, painting many different commercial buildings and residences in the area. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially going on camping trips and fishing.
Brandon was truly a social person; he could strike up a conversation with anyone and had a loveable quality about him. He was quick witted, using his sense of humor to have a joke or reply ready at any moment. Brandon had a depth of knowledge, not just natural intelligence, but he was a trivia master and had a breadth of knowledge that he shared often.
His most endearing quality was his gift to lift everyone up when he was around. He lit up any room he walked into, making everyone feel better and have a great time. Brandon loved his family, especially his daughters, and he will forever be a bright light to all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents: Wendy Page of Wilmington and Patrick McCaughn of Manhattan, Illinois; his maternal grandparents, Richard "Sonny" and Peggy Lynn Konc of Wilmington; two children: Aralynn and Izabella McCaughn; two brothers and two sisters: Damon (Nicole) Florey, Nathan (Kelsey) Florey, and Samantha McCaughn, all of Wilmington, and MyKayla Spelbring of Newton, Illinois; nieces and nephews: Aiden, Nevaeh, Lyla, Hailie, Leon, Teagan, Axel, and Brodie; as well as several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and countless friends that will miss Brandon dearly.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Leo and Sandy Lunde and Tom McCaughn; one uncle, Matthew Konc, and three cousins: Tommy McCaughn-Richardson, Rogan Donoho, and Andy Konc.
