Brian “Buck” Keith Hank
Age 72, of Dwight, Illinois, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Morris Hospital in Morris, Illinois.
Born on July 3, 1954, at Delnor Hospital in St. Charles, Illinois, Brian Keith was a son of Robert and Marjorie (Kingsbury) Hank. He was raised and educated in St. Charles, where he received his high school diploma in 1972.
After graduating from high school, Brian enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country. Following his honorable discharge in 1975, he began working as a sales representative for Meilner Mechanical Engineering, a position he held for several years. He later moved to Dwight, Illinois, to be closer to his brother David, with whom he shared a special bond and spent much of his time caring for and enjoying life together.
Known affectionately as “Buck” to his many friends, Brian was a meticulous person who took great pride in the details, always making sure everything was in its proper place. He was always put together and impeccably dressed, taking pride in his appearance and the way he presented himself. These qualities reflected his thoughtful nature and the care he put into all aspects of his life.
Brian also had a deep love and passion for music, especially Blues music . Throughout the years, he played the harmonica in numerous bands, performing at a variety of venues, including the House of Blues in Chicago, California, and many local establishments in St. Charles. Music brought Brian great joy, pride, and fulfillment throughout his life. Equally important to him was spending time with his family, especially his brother David. The two shared a love of watching sports, a simple pleasure that created many cherished memories and reflected the close relationship they held dear. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Brian is survived by his twin sister: Mary Claire (Tim) Keen of Sugar Grove, Illinois; two brothers; Robert Hank of California and David Hank of Dwight; as well as a sister Carolyn Hank-Welsh of California; three nephews: Dustin Harris, Brandon (Abra) Harris, and Colton Harris; two great-nieces: Autumn and Lyla Harris, and one great-nephew Harlow Harris. He is also survived by many dear friends, including Diane Bolla and Deb Haines.
