Carol Ann Buchta

Age 58 of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at her home.

Born January 31, 1963 in Berwyn, Illinois, Carol was a daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Herman) Buchta. She was raised and educated in Brookfield, Illinois and graduated from Lions Township High School. Carol worked as a waitress for many years for several restaurants. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed sharing her talents with her family and friends. Carol will be especially remembered for her beautiful, hand decorated, letters and greeting cards she would send to her family and pen pals.

Carol is survived by three sisters: Cindy Buchta of Diamond, Illinois, Cheryl (Paul) Hacholski of Westchester, Illinois, and Christine (Tim) Kancler; her niece and nephew: Mathew and Kristina Kancler; as well as many cousins.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one aunt, Delores (Anthony) Martini, and one nephew, Marty Hacholski.

Per Carol’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and inurnment will be held at a later date in Queen of Heaven Cemetery – Hillside, Illinois.
