CAROLINE FARRERO

Age 86 of Coal City, passed away Sunday morning, January 01, 2006 at Morris Hospital.

Born September 02, 1919 in Braceville, Caroline was a daughter of the late Anton and Pauline (Kremka) Stepnosky and she was raised and educated in Braidwood. On September 24, 1938 Caroline married Louis W. "Yamo" Farrero in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City and together they lived their entire married life in Coal City. In earlier years Caroline was employed at Grinchuck's Clothing Factory in Braidwood and Hyman's Clothing Factory in Coal City. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City and the Braidwood Senior Citizens Club. Caroline enjoyed baking bread and pies; sewing, including many of her own home furnishings, and reading. She loved the outdoors, watching wildlife and spending time with her pets and family. Caroline was proud of her Polish/Lithuanian heritage. She is remembered for her great smile and friendly caring manner.

Survivors include her daughter Carol (Matthew) Thraen of Diamond, son Anthony (the late Bobbie-Sue) Farrero of Orlando Florida and three grandchildren: Ensign Courtney Thraen of Washington, Matthew Thraen of California and Regina (Jeff) Farrero-Eggert of Ulster, New York, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1967; three sister; three brothers and her daughter-in-law.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be Tuesday January 03, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM and Wednesday January 4th from 8:30AM until 9:45AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (1 Block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow 10AM in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Mike Pennock officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Caroline's memory to The Coal City Fireman's Association, 85 S. DeWitt Place, Coal City, Illinois 60416 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
