Age 102 of Morris, passed away Wednesday September 07, 2005 at the Grundy County Home.

Born June 20, 1903 in Kilkeel, County Down, Northern Ireland, Catherine was a daughter of the late Barney and Lizzie (Smith) Sloan. On May 08, 1924 Katie married John O'Hagan of Lisnacree, County Down, Northern Ireland. Katie and her daughter Elizabeth Ellen "Helena" then joined John in the United States on September 02, 1928 and Katie worked as a seamstress on the Southside of Chicago until retiring to Morris on October 01, 1966.

Katie is survived by her son Hugh (Pat) O'Hagan of Tinley Park, daughter Kay (Stan) Burkhardt of Elwood, daughter-in-law Maryann O'Hagan of Morris, (11) grandchildren; (11) great grandchildren and one brother Willie John (Lillie) Sloan and one sister Tessie Sloan, both of Kilkeel, County Down, Northern Ireland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Ireland.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, daughter Elizabeth Ellen "Helena" Magee, son Jack O'Hagan, grandson Daniel O'Hagan, granddaughter Barbara Magee and many brothers and sisters in Ireland.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 11, 2005 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (1 block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will then follow on Monday September 12th at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Richard Smith officiating and burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris.

Pallbearers will be: John Cunningham, Dan Cunningham, John O'Hagan, Mike O'Hagan, Scott Walls and Brad Walls. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Elizabeth Magee, Kathleen Cunningham and Joan O'Hagan.

Preferred memorials as gifts in Katie's memory may be extended to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Building Fund: 516 East Jackson Street, Morris, IL 60450
