Catherine Probus

Age 76 of Heyworth passed away Monday August 3, 2015 at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Born November 20, 1939 in Colburn, Wisconsin, Catherine was a daughter of the late Leo and Mary Virba-Welbes. She was raised and educated in El Paso, Illinois, and in November of 2005, she married the late Melvin Probus.  Catherine was a member of Tri-Valley Baptist Church in Bloomington, and she loved to crochet, read romance novels and play computer games.

Survivors include two children: Tammy (Joe) Rever and Larry (Cindy) Hinthorne, Jr.; four grandchildren: Diane Bradford, Brick Hinthorne, Jayden Wiens and Tanna Hinthorne; seven great grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Mason Bradford, Liam and Nolan Hinthorne, and Garner, Quinten and Avery Wiens; one sister: Shirley Carls, and nieces and three nephews: Joe Camp, Michael Welbes and Carl Carls.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin on April 4, 2015, and one brother.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
