Cathy Kratochvil

MARY CATHERYNE "CATHY" KRATOCHVIL (Nee Skubic)

Age 63 of Coal City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 10, 2006, surrounded and comforted by her family at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born September 30, 1942 in Joliet, Cathy was a daughter of the late Joe and Elsie (Haldorson) Skubic of Carbon Hill. She was united in holy matrimony to Lynn Kratochvil on June 04, 2004 at Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, where they resided.

Cathy is survived by her husband; three children: Keith (Terri) Scerine of Coal City, Kristy (Chip) Cerovac of Daytona Beach, Florida and Joe (Barb) Vinyard of Washburn, Illinois; two step-children: Allen (Katie) Kratochvil and Brian Kratochvil, both of Coal City; one sister Bonnie (Dan) O'Keefe of Coal City; two grandchildren: Erin and Jack Scerine; five step-grandchildren: Brianna Kratochvil and Jaclyn, Nick, Steven and Kelley Cerovac.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents.

Cathy enjoyed life and she was one of the most optimistic, supportive, nurturing and fun loving people our Lord has ever created. She had an easy way about her that instantly made you feel comfortable around her. She loved to laugh, and through example, she taught those around her how to love. She loved new experiences. She loved to dine, garden, fish with her husband Lynn, bake with her grandchildren, shop in Chicago during the holidays with "The Girls", spend time with her sons and visit her daughter in Florida. Cathy was eagerly awaiting the birth of her new Grandson.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Monday March 13, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday March 14th at 10:00AM in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Braceville a�" Gardner Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Keith Scerine, Joe Vinyard, Chip Cerovac, Allen Kratochvil, Brian Kratochvil, Paul O'Keefe and Tim O'Keefe.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Cathy's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choice.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Coal City.
