David P. Ahlquist, Jr.
Age 55 of Burbank, Illinois, died Friday, April 24, 2026 with his family by his side.
Born August 6, 1970, David Patrick is a son of David, Sr. and Diane (Walsh) Ahlquist. He was raised in Burbank and graduated from Reavis High School with the Class of 1988. Following high school, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably from 1989 to 1993. He was part of the 2nd Platoon, Alpha Company of the 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, training and serving as both a scout swimmer and assault climber. David was described by his superior officers as the heart and soul of his platoon, constantly encouraging others to be better and helping wherever he could.
Following his military service he worked in sales for many years, most recently for Mac Tools selling automotive tools. David enjoyed sports and was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan, finding great joy in their 2016 World Series Championship. He was a giving man, working hard to take care of everyone, making others his priority. David loved his family, especially his daughters, and will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his parents: David, Sr. and Diane Ahlquist of Goose Lake; two daughters: Ashley and Abigail Ahlquist, both of Chicago; two brothers: James Ahlquist of Coal City and Brian (Kalena) Ahlquist of Denver, Colorado; and his niece and nephews: Chase, Mila, and Liam Ahlquist.
