David M. Andrews

Age 66 of Coal City, Illinois, formerly of Joliet, Illinois, died Sunday, August 9, 2026 at his home.

Born September 12, 1959 in Joliet, David Michael was one of eight children born to Gordon Andrews and Beverly (Cooper) Cline. He worked in construction for many years, and was always generous with his talents. David would often lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He moved to Coal City five years ago where he enjoyed his regular walks to the library or being out to see his friends. David's family and friends will remember him most for his wonderful sense of humor and his contagious laugh.

Survivors include four sisters: Dorothy Fonte, Diane (Peter) Habath, Karen Brock, and Barbara (the late Jack) Frost; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gordon G. Andrews, and two sisters: Jacqueline Jones and Patricia Brendle; and several nieces and nephews.

Per David's wishes, cremation rites are being accorded and private family services will be held.
