Dennis Richardo Collofello

Age 52 of Clearwater, Florida and formerly of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 3, 2016.

Born May 8, 1964 in Joliet, Dennis is a son of Sharon Morgan (nee Stoiber) and the late Dennis Paul Collofello. He was raised in Joliet and graduated from Joliet West High School. Dennis worked as a professional painter and owned and operated Perfect Painting in Clearwater. He took pleasure in working out, was an accomplished interior decorator and loved tropical gardening. Denny will be remembered as a sociable and caring individual.

Survivors include his mother Sharon (Thomas) Morgan of Minooka; partner Howard LaPolt of Clearwater, Florida; sister Colleen (David) Cartwright of Wilmington; three nieces: Marissa, Ashley and Trisha; one nephew Tyler; three great nephews: Landon, Owen and Easton; two great nieces: Lily and Macie; and numerous aunts and uncles, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Dennis Paul Collofello (June 1, 2015) and one brother Joseph in infancy.

Cremation rites are being accorded and a memorial service is being planned.

A private inurnment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Joliet at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Dennis’ memory to his family for their distribution.
