Age 77, formerly of Gardner, Illinois and Mazon, Illinois, of Diamond, Illinois died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at her home.
Born on March 2, 1948, in Champaign, Illinois, Diana Lynn was a daughter of James and May Louise (Carpenter) Wilson. She was raised in Mazon and graduated from Mazon High School with the class of 1966. She worked in retail and retired from a local retail establishment.
Diana found joy in cooking and crafting, delighting her loved ones by sharing the beautiful things she created. To her nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as the ‘fun aunt.’
She is survived by her son in law, Kevin Johnson of Diamond, and her daughter by choice, Karla (Tom) Wilkey of Fairbury, IL; three sisters: Mickey (Robert) Edwards of Orlando FL, Ellen (Bobby) Goff of Tallahassee, FL, and Bette (Donald) Farmer of Morris, IL; special nieces and nephews: Kelly, Emily and Kenny Bannon IV; and her special cousin, Della Hudson.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Tammie Johnson, and sister, Theresa Tijan.
Per Diana's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
On September 13, 2025, Diana will be laid to rest with her daughter and mother at Mount Hope Cemetery in Foolsand, Illinois.
Memorials may be made as gifts in Diana's name to the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Center, 200 1st St SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
