Dolores M. Youngquist

Age 87 of Wilmington, Illinois, formerly of Joliet, Illinois, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois.

Born June 15, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, Dolores was a daughter of Charles and Laura (Jacobs) Rinehart. She was raised and educated on the South Side of Chicago, and on September 3, 1955, she married Robert Youngquist with whom she would share 35 years of marriage until his passing on February 27, 1990.

Dolores was the manager of Browns Chicken in Joliet for several years, and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a member of United Lutheran Church in Gardner and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include two sons: John (Dawn) Youngquist of Wilmington and Jim (Jan) Youngquist of Lincoln, Illinois; one brother, Tom (the late Donna) Rinehart of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; five grandchildren: Mark Youngquist, Kyle Youngquist, Trisha (John) Fluckiger, Alyssa (Chris) Lambert, and Jill Youngquist (Leighton Kraft); five great grandchildren: Peter Fluckiger, and Bennett, Emma, Elliot and Sophia Lambert; one daughter-in-law, Carla Youngquist, and many nieces and nephews, including Collette Rinehart with whom she shared many lunch outings that were very special to Dolores.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob; one son, Kenneth Youngquist; three brothers, Al, Don, and Chuck Rinehart, and one sister, Judy Reed.

Per Dolores’ wishes, cremation rites are being accorded and she will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet with her husband.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
