Donna Belcher

Age 80 of Wilmington, Illinois died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Morris Hospital.

Born February 2, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, Donna was a daughter of Peter and Lena (Bertone) Lira. She was raised and educated in Berwyn, Illinois, and graduated from Morton East High School with the Class of 1962. Donna loved living on the river and took great pleasure in tending to her yard. She was a loving and caring person who was a devoted wife and mother. Donna's kind heart and loving nature left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, George Belcher of Wilmington, whom she married in 1983; one daughter, Tracy (Mike) Lang of Naperville, Illinois, and two stepchildren: Tammy Belcher of Schaumburg, Illinois and John Belcher of Earlville, Illinois; grandchildren: Katrina and Zachery Piesen; one sister, Carol (Jim) Vitek of Wilmington; niece and nephew, Jamie Brncich and Jim Vitek, and great nieces and great nephew: Nicole Vitek, Breena and Brett Brncich.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and one step-son: Timothy Belcher.

Cremation rites are being accorded, and there are no services being planned at this time.
