Donna M. Couch

Age 55 of Steger, Illinois, died Saturday morning, March 16, 2024 at Ascension St. Mary Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois.

Born July 19, 1968 in Blue Island, Illinois, Donna Marie was a daughter of Barry Francis and Marianne (Paskauskas) Quinn. She was raised in Riverdale and graduated from Thornton Township High School with the Class of 1986.

On September 21, 2002, Donna married Todd Couch and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2020.

Donna dedicated many years of service as a secretary at the Cook County State's Attorney Office in Chicago with the narcotics unit. Additionally, she operated various home-based businesses over the years.

Known for her vibrant spirit and infectious energy, Donna was the heartbeat of any gathering. Her love for shopping, baking, music, and dancing illuminated every room she entered. Game nights and card games were synonymous with laughter and joy in her presence. Alongside Todd, karaoke nights were cherished memories they held dear. After becoming a mother to Sean Michael Couch, Donna's world revolved around his happiness and activities. She dedicated herself to working concessions at Steger Storm Football games, for the Steger Little League, and at the Steger Rec Club. In addition she was proud to be a part of the PTA.
 
Fondly remembered as a kind-hearted soul with a hint of sarcasm that only added to her charm. Donna's selfless nature always put others before herself and family was her cornerstone.

Survivors include her son, Sean Michael Couch; siblings: Kevin (Jenny) Quinn of Manteno, Ellen (James) Georgeff of Wilmington and Michael (Gina) Messina of Tennessee; nieces and nephews: Megan (Michael) Mueller, Haley (Collin) Harding, Samantha Quinn, James Georgeff and Emily Georgeff, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; Barry and Marianne Quinn and Elaine Quinn, and husband, Todd.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service 4:00 p.m. Deacon Milt Leppert will preside.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and Donna and Todd will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made to South Suburban Humane Society in Matteson or to the family for the benefits of Donna’s son, Sean.
