Dorothy M. Zeman

Age 86 of Joliet and formerly Grundy County, passed away Tuesday August 1, 2006 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born May 31, 1920 in Coal City, Dorothy was a daughter of the late James and Frances Cabodi. She was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School. On April 05, 1939, Dorothy married Edward Zeman and they farmed in Grundy County their entire married life. She was employed by St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet in the mail room until her retirement. Dorothy was involved with the Foster Parent Program in Joliet and was also a volunteer at Guardian Angel Home.

Survivors include two daughters: Darlene (James) Lane of Scotsdale, Arizona and Patricia Clark of Morris. Six grandchildren: Steffany (Bret) Hedenkamp of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeremy (Nicole) Neill of Georgia, Francesca (James) Lindner of Joliet, Dylan Kinnett of West Virginia, Christopher Clark of Morris and Lauren Lane of Scotsdale, Arizona and four great grandchildren: Jordan, India and Rayna Lindner and Wiley Hedenkamp.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward and one sister Lucille Cabodi.

Private family services and burial will be held in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
