EMMA WILLIAMS (nee SARTI)

Age 96 of Morris, passed away on Saturday June 10, 2006 at the Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 19, 1909 in East Brooklyn, IL, Emma was a daughter of the late Joseph and Albina (Giacomelli) Sarti. Emma was raised and educated in South Wilmington and on April 14, 1931 she married Peter Williams in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris. After their marriage they moved to Chicago where they lived most of their married life, and when Pete retired in 1969, they moved back to Morris where they lived the rest of their lives.

Emma is survived by one brother, Joseph "Toby" Sarti of Morris, five nieces: Sharon Gilbertson and Linda Kindelspire of Morris, Daria Larson of Marseilles, Becky Lewis of Ottawa, and Billie-Jean Brandt of Morris; two nephews: Tom Girot of Park Ridge and Chuck Sarti of Morris, as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter in 1980, four sisters: Sara Bunton, Mary Gusta, Enes Girot, and Anne Higgins; two brothers: Hannibal "Nibs" Sarti and Dario "Doc" Sarti, and one nephew Jerry Bunton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 13, 2006 between the hours of 5:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (2 Blocks East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, June 14th at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Barr, Joel Barr, Dana Gibertson, Scott Kindelspire, Chris Kindelspire and Tom Girot.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Emma's memory to The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Building Fund, or The Immaculate Conception School Endowment Fund.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Morris.
