Age 87 of Coal City, passed away Saturday evening July 01, 2006 at her home.

Born March 29, 1919 in South Wilmington, Ethel was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Hockings) Williamson. She was raised and educated in South Wilmington, having graduated as Salutatorian with the South Wilmington grade school in 1933 and Gardnera�"South Wilmington High School Class of 1937. Ethel was employed by Grinchuck's until she married Albert Namchick on February 28, 1942. She later worked for Toni Garments and Hyman Tailoring until gaining employment with the Federal Government in 1962. Ethel worked at the Joliet Arsenal and then in Moline until 1981, when she retired as a budget officer. Ethel was an active member of Coal City United Methodist Church, she loved bowling, keeping busy with Church activities, playing bridge and traveling.

Survivors include her son Roy Namchick of Braceville; two grandchildren: Renee Namchick of Fort Worth, Texas and John (Lesa) Namchick of Braceville; one sister Marie Worrall of Ocala, Florida and several nieces and nephews, as well as her special caregiver Maria.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert, daughter-in-law Susan and one brother Lionel Williamson, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 03, 2006 from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Harley Mayer, Fred Mayer, Mark Wills, Bill Onsen, Lionel Williamson, Jr. and Don Francois.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Coal City.
