"Scott"

Age 74 of Wilmington, Illinois, formerly of Preston Heights, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Born September 1, 1951 in Pontiac, Illinois, Scott was a son of Eugene and Joyce (Scott) Allen. He was raised in Preston Heights and graduated from Joliet East High School with the Class of 1969. Scott began his career with Durkee Foods in Channahon, Illinois and retired from Loders Croklaan in 2014 after 36 years of service. He was a hard worker who led a simple life with his beloved family, and enjoyed bowling in his men's league and couple's league from many years.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Allen, who he married July 1, 2000; four children: Cory Bush, Rebecca (Tyler) Gholson, Derek Allen, and Jason Allen; two grandsons: Connor and Andrew; one brother, Dale "Tony" Allen, and two sisters: Paula (Gary) Grabin and Amy Allen; his mother-in-law, Lois Wharrie, and brother and sisters-in-law: David Lindner, Beth Lindner, and Laurie Keasler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Allen; his fathers-in-law: Jack Lindner and Milton Wharrie; and two brothers-in-law: Brett and Michael Lindner.

Per Scott's wishes, cremation rites are being accorded and there will be no services.
