Eunice Doherty

Age 66 of Wilmington, Illinois, died Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.

Born December 15, 1956 in Bayonne, New Jersey, Eunice Charlotte was a daughter of Taduez and Eunice (Pasquale) Wlodarski. She was raised and educated in Bayonne, and graduated from Bayonne High School. Eunice worked as an office manager for several companies, and met Shawn Doherty in 1982 and would go on to marry him on March 18, 1994. Together they would relocate to Wilmington, Illinois where they would make their home. After moving, Eunice centered her life on caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking for them and being a reliable and loving caregiver. Eunice treasured her grandchildren and had a kind, generous heart for anyone who needed her. She was strong willed and fought hard through all the challenges she faced over the years, creating a great example for her family.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Krand of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Stephen Tyler Krand and Mariah Rose Krand; one sister and three brothers: Janet Delaney of Chesapeake, Virginia, Gregory Wlodarski of Jersey City, New Jersey, Andrew (Judith) Wlodarski of Brick Township, New Jersey, and Keith (Lisa) Wlodarski of Montague, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Shawn Doherty on April 17, 2021; and three siblings: Delores Husker, Taduez “Teddy” Wlodarksi, and Patricia Wlodarski.

Per Eunice’s wishes, cremation rites are being accorded and there will be no services at this time.
