Evelyn Gross

EVELYN M. GROSS

Age 85 of Aloha, Oregon and formerly Coal City, passed away Thursday September 15, 2005 in Aloha.

Born July 19, 1920 in Coal City, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Mitchka) Piagno. She was raised and educated in Coal City, and on August 20, 1938 Evelyn married Martin Gross in the Coal City Methodist Church. Evelyn loved word games and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her (4) children: Dennis (Marian) Gross and Daryle (Marci) Gross, both of Knoxville, Tennessee, Richard (Carol) Gross of Gaston, Oregon and Linda Kennedy of Aloha, Oregon. (10) Grandchildren: Rich, Ruth, Christopher, Sean, Brian, Lindsey, Erin, Mackinzie, Richard and Patricia, (6) great grandchildren: William, Michael, Jennifer, Arthur, Alexandra and Chloe and one sister Laverne Baudino of Kinsman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 22, 2005 between the hours of 6:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home in Coal City. Evelyn will then lie in state on Friday September 23rd from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road, Coal City, Illinois 60416. Dr. Thomas R. Logsdon will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials as gifts in Evelyn's memory may be extended to the Coal City United Methodist Church Building Fund.
