Faith Harriet (Becker) Robertson

Age 77 of Coal City, passed away peacefully with her husband and family surrounding her at home on Sunday night, March 14, 2021.

Born July 30, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Faith was born to Stuart and Harriet (Rohde) Becker. She was a 1961 graduate of Worthington High School, in Worthington, Ohio and went on to attend Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Faith lived a life of love and faith in God. Her smile lit up a room, and she was a treasure to all who met her. No words could even begin to measure her joy in life, and her great love for her husband of 55 years, as well as precious children. She will be remembered for her love of singing, dancing, and most of all spending time with family. Faith exemplified her name and was kind to all, always. She will forever be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, William J. Robertson, III; children: Joseph (Suloni) Robertson of Austin, Texas, Chloe (Jason) Jelenich of Coal City and Marcey (Esteban) Paredes of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren: Meagan (Scott) Moreno, Drew Baxter (Emily Fischer), Jeremy Baxter (Penny Conner), Corey (Hyeeun) McCartt, Jordan Eskew and Gabriella Paredes; one brother, Bill (Mariam) Becker of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters: Kathryn Becker of Prescott, Arizona and Amy Williams of Dayton, Ohio; sisters-in-law: Sally (Bruce) Castlen of Kentucky and Susan Robertson (Bill Schrock) of Canada, and many nieces and nephews, as well as friends from many walks of life in Ohio, Texas and Illinois.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents: Stuart and Harriet Becker; one son, Steven James Robertson, and her beloved canine companion, Skippy.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service and celebration of Faith’s life will be held at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City on Saturday, March 20, 2021, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Pastor Brad Shumaker will officiate.

Those wishing to participate in the services virtually are welcome to join the live-stream beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021. A link for the event will be available on Faith’s memorial page.
