FLORENCE FAYE ENOT (nee Gayer)

Age 85 of Wilmington, Illinois passed away Monday May 8, 2006 at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.

Born August 01, 1920 in Conant, Arkansas, Florence was a daughter of the late John and Della Gayer. She was raised in Plumfield, Illinois and lived in Zeigler, Illinois from 1989 to 2001. Florence married Paul Enot in 1937 and he preceded her in death after 64 years of marriage in 2001. Florence was a charter member of First Christian Church in Wilmington and a homemaker who enjoyed people. She was known for her love of sewing, crocheting and baking.

Survivors include her three children: Paul (Ruth Ann) Enot of Wilmington, Lynn (Roger) Andrews of Monett, Missouri and Gwynn Bayes of South Bloomfield, Ohio. (8) Grandchildren: Steven (Diane) Enot, Kelly (Richard) Neese, Tracy (Al) Zlomie, Kenneth (Debbie) Bentley, Terri Bentley, Timothy Bayes, Daniel Bayes and Rebecca Bayes. (11) Great Grandchildren; two Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, four brothers: Cecil, Clyde, Clifford and Carl; Five sisters: her twin Fern Gayer, Diana Knupp, Ann Ezell, Lois Clay and Leona Oglesby.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 12, 2006 between the hours of 5:00PM and 8:00PM at Vantrease Funeral Home, 101 Wilcox Avenue, Zeigler, Illinois (618) 596-2111. Funeral services will follow on Saturday May 13th at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery in Orient, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made as gifts in Florence's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
