Florence Kean

FLORENCE E. KEAN (Nee Liss)

Age 79 and formerly of Wilmington, passed away Thursday May 25, 2006 at the University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Born September 07, 1926 in Chicago, Florence was a daughter of the late August and Estelle Liss. She was a former member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and was associated with the Flower Loft Florist in Wilmington for many years before moving to Williston, South Carolina.

Florence was the loving mother of (9) Children: the late Walter Kean, Janet (James) Barrie of Huntley, Illinois, Lawrence (Pamela) Kean of South Carolina, Robert Kean of Wisconsin, Michael (Pamela) Kean of Bensenville, Illinois, Patrick (Vickie) Kean of Villa Park, Illinois, Phillip (Lorraine) Kean of South Carolina, Bruce (Lori) Kean of Wisconsin and Gary Kean of Chicago. She was also grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Henry, son Walter and numerous brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 29, 2006 from 9:00AM until time of funeral services 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Steve Bondi from St. Rose Catholic Church will officiate and burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorial may be made as gifts in Florence's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
