Francis “Frank” Cott

Age 67 of Custer Park and formerly of Joliet, Illinois, passed away peacefully Monday, May 31, 2021 at his home.

Frank was employed as a Welder and worked for Caterpillar Tractor Corporation in Joliet for over 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (nee Oestry) whom he married July 12, 1996 in Christ United Methodist Church in Lockport; three children: Melissa Cott (Warren) Kwavnick of Florida, Crissy Cott (Donovan) of Tennessee and Mayalyn Cott of Illinois; Kevin Martis who was like a son; two granddaughters: Olivia and Lindsey; brother-in-law, Howard Oestry of Texas and sister-in-law, Carol (Jeff) Franklin of Wisconsin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Florence Oestry-Farmer and sister-in-law, Paula Oestry-Johnston.

Per Franks wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Frank’s memory to Vitas Hospice or to the American Heart Association.
