Frank Gombash
Age 88 of Morris, formerly of Momence, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at Arcadia Care in Morris.
Born June 21, 1933 in Caretta, West Virginia, Frank finished his education in Maryland and Chicago. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and was awarded a Purple Heart for his service. Frank worked 35 years with Clearing Machines Corporation, retired from United States Mechanics and Aerospace Workers, and was Past President of Local 1714 International Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Diane Gombash; and four children: Frank (Lucy) Gombash, Cynthia (Dave) Nunn, Lisa Riebe, and Stephen Gombash.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Alec and Catherine Gombash.
Interment with full military honors will be Monday, May 9, 2022 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 West Hoff Road, in Elwood. Family and friends are encouraged to meet at the cemetery by 12:15 p.m. for committal services at 12:30 p.m.
