Gary “Big G” Terry, Jr.

Age 48 of Cornell, formerly of Cicero, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his home.

Born February 2, 1972 in Chicago, Gary O’Neal was the son of Gary O’Neal Terry, Sr. and Glenda H. (Rigsby) Rosenbaum. He was raised and educated in Ohio, but would eventually relocate to Cicero when he was seventeen. Gary had a great sense of humor that could get a laugh out of anyone. He enjoyed living the country lifestyle and especially loved fishing. Gary was a giant teddy bear with a big heart and personality, and will always be remembered lovingly as “Big G”.

Survivors include his daughter, Felicia Doran of Chicago, two siblings: Garalene “Renee” Terry of Pontiac and Tracey Terry of Brookfield; one nephew, Jonathan Rogers of Coal City, and his great niece and great nephew: Serenity and Dylan.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation and video tribute will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Facemasks are required by all attendees, and the funeral home will assist with abiding by current social gathering standards.

A live stream of Gary’s funeral services will be made available for those who are unable to attend the funeral services in person, by visiting Gary’s memorial page. The live stream will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral services.
