Gayle I. Bush (nee Bitner)

Age 96 of Coal City, passed away Friday November 25, 2005 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet after a long illness.

Born February 08, 1909 in Potter Mill, Pennsylvania, Gayle was a daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Colyer) Bitner. She lived most of her life in Coal City and retired from Corn Products / Best Foods in 1974. Gayle was noted for her flower gardens and passion for playing Bingo.

Survivors include two children: Gene R. Bush of Coal City and Doris K. Geisen of Joliet. (11) Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and one sister Genevieve L. Hertline of Mesa, Arizona, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, husband George D. Bush on November 26, 1939, one son Glen C. Bush on December 15, 2000, two brothers Glayde and Gerald Bitner and two sisters: Gladys McMahon and Grace (Stanley) Nelson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday December 01, 2005 from 9:30AM until time of services at 11:00AM in the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road in Coal City where Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Gayle's name to The Coal City Fireman's Association, 35 S. DeWitt Place, Coal City, IL 60416 or Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road, Coal City, IL 60416.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Coal City.
