Gia Rose Brazelton

Born September 28, 2020, she went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 15, 2021.

Gia was a bright light and sweet angel, on earth, the short time her mother was blessed to have her.  Gia loved music, playing with her toys and big brother, smiling at everyone she met, cuddles with her mommy, and kisses from her big brother.  She was already curious about the world around her and had just started giggling.  She brought happiness to everyone who met her and was loved by all who knew her.  Forever greatly missed and always in our hearts.  Gia is now in the arms of God and giggling with the angels.

Gia is survived by her mother, Courtney Brazelton, grandparents: C.R. Brazelton of Bardwell, Kentucky and Pam Oleson of DeKalb; brother and sister: Briella Sharp and Phoenix Brazelton; one uncle, Scott Brazelton of Abingdon, Virginia, and cousins: Timothy and Christhian Brazelton.

Gia was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents: Amos and Joyce Oleson; and paternal great grandparents: Clarence and Annabelle Brazelton.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47), in Morris between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Face mask requirements and measures of safe social distancing practices will be in order, and funeral home staff will assist the family not to exceed the newly lowered safe number set forth for the visitation.

Private family services will be held, and cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Gia will be laid to rest in Kentucky with her great grandmother.
