Age 70 of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, November 14, 2021 at AMITA St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Born October 30, 1951 in Scottsboro, Alabama, Harold Wayne is a son of Ruby Jewel (nee Anderson) of Watseka, and the late Carl Sanders. He moved with his family at an early age to Chicago and went on to graduate from Fenger High School with the Class of 1970.

On October 23, 1971, Harold married Sharon Welchko, and together they made a home and raised a family together.

Harold was a member of the Sunburst Corvette Club, and when not in his corvette , he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. His grandchildren were the world to him, and being a grandfather was Harold’s biggest hobby!

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Danielle Sanders and daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Matt Dumycz; three grandchildren: Danny, Gracie and Aiden; his mother Ruby, and his sister, Diane (Guy) Harmon, all of Wilmington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers: Rayford and Richard.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service, 7:00 p.m.

Green flameless cremation rites will follow the services and Harold will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.
