Harriett Reardanz

Age 91 of Morris, passed away Tuesday morning September 5, 2006 at Walnut Grove.

Born November 25, 1914 in Joliet, Harriett was a daughter of the late John and Nellie (Fitzpatrick) Connolly. She was raised and educated in the Joliet area and graduated from St. Francis Academy. On September 21, 1935, Harriett married Leslie Reardanz in Minooka, and together they farmed in the Morris area most of their married life. Harriett was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris and the Farm Bureau. She enjoyed raising chickens, gardening and canning.

Harriett raised six children: Shirley Knapp of Chicago, Jean (Richard) Nelson of Lombard, Leslie, Jr (Eileen) Reardanz of Bellingham, Washington, John (Mare) Reardanz of Blackstone, Shawn Knapp of Joliet and Kelly (Randy) Roth of Morris. She is also survived by (13) Grandchildren, (25) Great Grandchildren, one Great-Great Granddaughter and two sisters: Helen Lamping of Channahon and Marjorie Barry of Morris, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harriett was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leslie in 2000 and two brothers: Eugene and Joseph Connolly.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Thursday September 7, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow on Friday September 8th at 10:00AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Richard Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris and Harriett's Grandsons will act as pallbearers.
