Harry Jones

Harry M. Jones Age 90 of Wilmington and formerly Lockport, Illinois, passed away Saturday July 01, 2006 at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.

Born February 25, 1916 in Lockport, Harry was a son of the late Hugh and Mary (Mitchell) Jones. He was a graduate of Lockport Township High School, was employed by E. J. & E. Railroad, and retired after 38 years from Texaco Corporation. Harry was a former member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Lockport, the Pipefitters Union Local, and the Lockport Moose Lodge. He loved fishing, the White Sox, dancing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving son Richard (Susan) Jones of Oswego, granddaughter Deborah Jones of San Diego, California, dear family friend Barbara Nugent of Wilmington, special niece Becky (Jim) Videtic of Lockport, nephew Joe (Rosemary) Walsh of Colorado, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and wife Anne in 1968.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 3rd 2006 from 10:00am until the time of funeral service at 11:00am at Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington. Reverend Mark Fracaro will officiate. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville, IL. at a later date.

Preferred memorials as gifts in Harry's name may be made to Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.
