HENRY C. BROWN

Age 74 of Morris, passed away Monday April 24, 2006 at his home.

Born February 14, 1932 in Dixon County, Tennessee, Henry was a son of the late Granville P. and Maggy (Scott) Brown. Henry was raised and educated in Clarksville, Tennessee and moved to Coal City in 1950, where he married Mildred Beasley on September 16, 1961. Henry was a member of the Joliet Local Laborers Union #75 for over 35 years until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and cooking out on the grill, as well as fishing at the Morris Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years: Mildred; two children: Theresa A. Brown and Bryan E. Brown, both of Morris. One sister Georgia (Horace) Perry and two brothers: Thomas Glen (Emma) Brown and Bill (Alice Jean) Brown, all of Tennessee and one niece Dale (Jim) Harrison, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother James Junior Brown and three sisters: Mary (Louis) Maywell, Marie (Charles) Black and Jeanie Wilkins.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 28, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris.

Graveside services will follow on Saturday, April 29th, at 1:00PM in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Henry's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd. in Morris.
