JAMES E. LAMPING

Age 54 of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday July 04, 2006 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, surrounded by his family.

Born April 25, 1952, Jim is a son of Faye (nee Davis) and the late Robert E. Lamping. He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and Marycrest Business College. After numerous places of employment, Jim worked for Wilmington School Districe 209-U before becoming disabled. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and a member of the Wilmington Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his Mother Faye, of Wilmington; two sisters: Katherine Lamping of Urbana and Helen Lamping of Wilmington; two brothers: George (Harriette Haley) Lamping of Manhattan and William (Lori) Lamping of Clifton; One sister-in-law Barbara Lamping; two nieces and two nephews: Andrew and Sarah Lamping, Robert Lamping and Kathy (Calvin) Jordan and a very dear friend Melissa Mosher.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Robert E. Lamping, one brother Leo Lamping, one nephew Clarence Allen Lamping and his grandparents: Robert and Mae Davis and Harry and Mary Lamping.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 07, 2006 between the hours of 4:00PM and 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington.

Funeral services will follow on Saturday July 8th at 10:00 AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Jim's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, Wilmington High School Library or Wilmington School District 209U Foundation for Excellence.

Funeral services and arrangements are under the direction of Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
