James "Jimmy" Nielsen

Age 73 of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in Florida.

Born January 2, 1950 in Chicago, James Walter was a son of the late Walter Nielsen and Virginia (Mitchell) Herling.

Survivors include two daughters: Cheryl (Ken) McKendrick of Wilmington, Illinois and Angela Eartly (RJ Kaye) of Glendale Heights, Illinois; two grandchildren: Anthony Eartly and Alanna (Austin) Kletcke; one great grandson, Easton Kletcke; two siblings: Judy Doubleday of Oak Lawn, Illinois and Bobby (Diane) Herling of New Lenox, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Kathy Nielsen of Sarasota, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Walter Nielsen, and his mother and stepfather: Virginia and Richard Herling; his former wife, Donna Anderson, and one brother, Jack Nielsen.

Per his wishes, cremation rites are being accorded and there will be no services.
