Janet Louise Milashoski

Age 69, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, died Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Morris Hospital in Morris, Illinois.

Born April 18, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Janet was the daughter of Leo and Florence (Farrell) Milashoski. She was raised in Oak Lawn, where she attended local schools and graduated with the Class of 1975.

Janet found joy in many hands-on hobbies, especially cake decorating and creating beautiful food platters. Above all, nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren. She cherished her family deeply and was known for being loving, supportive, loyal, and, at times, wonderfully stubborn. Family was always at the heart of Janet’s life, and the love she gave to those around her will be remembered by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children: Danielle Milashoski of Ottawa, Illinois; Jamie Milashoski of Morris; Joseph Milashoski of Diamond, Illinois; and Kelly Martin of Morris; grandchildren: Leanna, Kendall, Robin, and Madeline, as well as several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings: Steven (Phyllis) Milashoski, Florence (Richard) Schneider, Susan (Scott) Ralston, and Bruce Milashoski. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Gubernat; son, Tim Milashoski; daughter, Roxanne Milashoski; and brothers, Leo and Mike Milashoski.

Per Janet’s wishes, cremation rites are being accorded.
