Obituary

Jason M. Burger

Age 49 of Braidwood, Illinois died unexpectedly on Friday morning, February 27, 2028, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Born on July 25, 1976, in Joliet, Illinois, Jason Michael is a son of Mike Burger of LaSalle and the late Angie (Ramsey) Burger. He was raised and educated in Braidwood and graduated with the Class of 1994 from Reed-Custer High School.

Jason was a proud and dedicated Millwright with Local #1693 in Chicago, a career he faithfully served for nearly 15 years. Known for his strong work ethic and skilled craftsmanship, he earned the respect of his fellow tradesmen. Prior to his work as a millwright, Jason expressed his artistic talents as a skilled tattoo artist, leaving a lasting mark on many through his creativity.

Jason lived life fully and passionately. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and happiness kayaking, canoeing, and camping. Music was one of his greatest loves. A talented singer and accomplished musician, he was a proud member of the band Aces & Eights. One of his most cherished musical achievements was being selected to open for Kid Rock at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, an honor he carried with great pride.

Above all, Jason was devoted to his family. He was an extraordinary father to his two daughters, a role he cherished more than any other. Nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his girls. He was a loving son, loyal brother, proud uncle, and the steady rock of his family. Loyal to his friends and fiercely protective of those he loved, Jason was known for his honesty, straightforward nature, and unwavering authenticity.

Charismatic, intelligent, artistic, and full of humor, Jason had a way of leaving an impression on everyone he met. He was passionate about life and proud of the cabin he was building in Kentucky, which reflected both his craftsmanship and his love for the outdoors.

Jason touched countless lives with his talent, laughter, loyalty, and heart. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Mike and Teresa Burger; two daughters: Aylin and Kinsley; siblings: Jacob (Sarah) Burger, Renee French and Daniel French; nieces and nephews: Cayden Burger, Jaylee Burger, Gage Southall, Serenity Burger, Gavin Burger, Isaiah French, Chase Southall, Sonny Southall, Ashlynn Kinkade, Arlo French and Ember French; aunts and uncles: Tina Weidling, Donald Ramsey, Chris Ramsey, Jim Burger and Tim (Melanie) Burger, and several cousins, as well as countless friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother Angie and brother, Justin.
