Age 84 of Bullhead City, Arizona, formerly of Wilmington, Illinois, died Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Chandler, Arizona.
Born June 14, 1941 in Joliet, Illinois, Jerry was a son of William and Alyce (Hutton) Mammosser. He was raised and educated in Joliet, Illinois. Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1962. Following his military service, he made his home on the west coast and began his career as a dry wall finisher. Jerry owned and operated his own business for over 30 years until his well earned retirement. He was never one to sit idle and enjoyed being on the go. Jerry was always available to help a friend and enjoyed spending time with his dog, Goldie and traveling together. He was a beloved brother and uncle and will be missed dearly by those he leaves behind.
Survivors include one sister, Joan Jerome of Joliet; two sisters-in-law, Jean Mammosser of Joliet and Sharon Mammosser of Plainfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: William Mammosser, Thomas Mammosser, and Judy (Raymond) Speckman.
Cremation rites were accorded, and inurnment with full military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Those who wish to attend the services will assemble for funeral procession at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington at 9:15 a.m.
