Age 80 of Wilmington passed away Wednesday October 2, 2019 at her home.

Born February 17, 1939 in Neenah, Wisconsin, Joan Marie was a daughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy (nee Widner). She was raised and educated in Menasha, Wisconsin, and would later relocate to Wilmington where she made her home. Joan was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family and cherished the time she was able to spend with them.

Survivors include her daughter: Tammie (Greg) Arndt-Bailey of Shadow Lakes; eight grandchildren: Jason (Shannon) Singleton and Joseph Singleton, both of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jimmy (Nicole) London of Custer Park, Sarah London of Ottawa, Illinois, Danielle (Josh) Bacon of Indianapolis, Indiana, Nicole (Brad) Male of Gardner, Steven (Ruby) Arndt of Braceville, and Gladys Singleton of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine great grandchildren: Austin, Zachary, Jude, Aubrey, Ryan, Charlotte, Jackson, Nadia, and Kinsey; two sisters: Kathy (Bill) Klassen of Greenville, Wisconsin, and Debbie DeMars of Menasha, Wisconsin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by two sons: Scott and Michael Arndt; and one brother: Ronald Jacobson.

Per Joan’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
