Joe Clarke

Age 74 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Salem Village in Joliet.

Born March 1, 1947 in Joliet, Illinois, Joseph John was a son of Edmund Peter and Marsha (Hundley) Clarke. He was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1965. Joe made a career out of his love of cars worked as a service manager for Lombardi and Community car dealerships in Wilmington, Rub Chevy in Dwight, and Rub Ford in Gardner, from where he retired in 2012.  To know Joe was to know a kind, loving and caring man.

He is survived by his dear friends, the Nuetzmann and Rub families.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Graveside services will be held on April 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, where he will be laid to rest with his parents.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Joe’s memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Kuzma Care Cottage.
